New Vision Mission

Diocese of San Carlos
San Carlos Borromeo Cathedral
San Carlos City, Negros Occidental

VISION-MISSION STATEMENT OF SAN CARLOS

SITUATION

We live in the midst of dehumanizing poverty caused by economic exploitation, political manipulation, cultural domination and religious ignorance.

INSPIRATION

Therefore, calling to mind the words of our Lord, “I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full”[1] and the teachings of the Church that, “man fully alive is the glory of God”[2] and inspired by the Holy Spirit and through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, conscious that we are agents of change,

VISION

WE, the Pilgrim Church of the Diocese of San Carlos, are committed in faith to incarnate the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of peace based on justice and love where there are living conditions that promote freedom and participation, human integrity and cultural and religious maturity.

MISSION

WE strive to build the Diocese as a People of God living as a witnessing community of disciples in the work of integral evangelization through worship, preaching, service, sharing and participation in solidarity with one another, with creation and with God for the renewal of the Church and the transformation of the present day society.

THRUST

To continue building and strengthening Basic Christian Communities (BCCs)/ Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) with Worship, Education, Service, Temporalities, Organizing and Youth (WESTOY) apostolate.
To continue revitalizing the Pastoral Council and WESTOY Committees at the BEC/BCC, zone/area, parish, vicariate and diocesan levels.
To form active Finance Council at the parish and diocesan levels.
